Descripcion: El planeta de los simios (título original en inglés, Planet of the Apes) es una franquicia de películas estadounidenses​ que comprende nueve películas, entre ellas, un remake, un reboot, dos series de televisión (una de ellas es animada) y varios cómicsy libros. La serie se inicia con la película de ciencia ficción de 1968 El planeta de los simios, la cual está basada en la novela francesa de 1963 La Planète des singes —Monkey Planet o Planet of the Apes—, escrita por Pierre Boulle.
